Whatever Saskhat posts, I suspect I'd enjoy a pot of coffee over a general business discussion.

It is sad that back stabbing and tossing insults gets thrown in… we all are so very blessed…. Attacking Sask shows way less class and more arrogance… than anything he has ever posted.
Wisdom … the Wildlife on our Fields…. Are Beautiful examples of humble existence… even they express themselves loudly as they exhibit their beautiful form… flying overhead… or bulking up in the fields!
Blessings!!! Whatever is good, kind, builds people up… dwell on those things…. Our Great Creator does! Faith, Hope, and LOVE… build better communities!!!

Every Thursday it’s the same, hey look at what I own or bought, or look at my crops even though others are drying up.
The industry must love all the free information.
But then there is the next guy. The narcissists like Saskfarmer. They love themselves, they crave attention and they boast. They likely have low self esteem, so they feel the need to tell others about how great they are.
No, I’m not a shrink…..just a dirt farmer observing others around me.

You are arrogant and like to brag. Just pointing that out. I have lots of farm friends that are large, wealthy and incredibly successful. But they are extremely humble. And that impresses me. Never hear them bragging ever. You brag, they don’t.
Our great grand parents that broke this country and built this for us were mostly very humble people. Some have lost that charm that they tried to pass down.
Have had to listen to the bitching and moaning for almost 15 years. All the woe is me and then the not so subtle bragging and arrogance with the slide show. A lot of us have the things he has but keep it to our selves. My friends like me better when I tell a story without injecting my self importance. Hard for some

Hey everyone, let's all bring the temperature down a bit. Respect and consideration for all posters is what we need to try to achieve.
There is nothing wrong with a healthy dose of different opinions. As I get older I really value others ideas and opinions that differ from mine. We need to not be envious, jealous or critical of our fellow industry participants.
Times indeed have changed. My adult children are educating me on what is unacceptable talk these days that was normal only 20 years ago. Although I rail against that initially...they are all just trying to be better people and I am getting it.
I appreciate most of the posts on this site. Some people have saved me a lot of money and given me new direction. Other posters (very few) are just not nice people and make little contribution to thoughts and new ideas and are simply negative gossips.
Everyone has their own situations to work with. Some are working with old money and some have made new money and some are struggling, and the way costs and markets and policy makers are going....we all are or will be struggling more.
But we are all proud and passionate of our farms.
So let's value everyone's opinions, from Saskfarmer to Forage, glean what you can, quietly celebrate others peoples successes, see those as an inspiration and ignore that which offends you and know that we can all learn something from each other.
Let's be good citizens that deserve and require accountability from our leadership on every level, municipal to PM, and that everyone needs to make a contribution, and that which is wrong is still wrong and right is still right even in 2023.

you seem to think since you grew up with intellectually disabled relatives you have some sort of free pass to say whatever you want about that group on a public form, read by thousands.
and yes, using that word absolutely does hurt a few “precious ones”. Maybe you haven’t had a child come home crying from school because they have been called that specific word, but some of us have.
the fact that you’ve continued to use it on subsequent posts, and if anything are doubling down on it being okay to use, and valid as something to joke about - while promoting that stance to the masses here and I assume elsewhere In your life, is just further causing pain to those that are actually affected by it.
I would hope you are not too narrow minded to realize this type of bullying has no place in todays world. You can be on the right side of history or the wrong one SF.

To get back on topic. The simple reason why soybeans are outperforming canola is that this rally is driven by meal, not oil. Meal has rallied while soy oil has declined. Soy yields more meal than canola. Canola might get drug along kicking and screaming.
Funny how all the marketing experts were predicting that by now we would be swimming in excess meal when all the renewable diesel plants came online. And meal prices would tank while oil prices went up. It didn't quite work out that way.
