    Canola?

In my area, I get around a fair bit. It would seem that it is going to be very yellow around here this year! It looks like every man and his dog socked just about everything they could into canola! And right now these crops are rocking...the best ones I think I've ever seen, at this stage! It seems there was a very good kill on the weeds and the canopy is solid.
Now as I said, this is only a small portion of central Alberta. I wonder if other people have noticed any increase in canola acres?

There is plenty of canola up here in the North Peace. I, like many guys sprayed for flea beetles & worms were not to bad this yr. just the od one, now we just need rain badly. Our lawn is completely brown and we have only cut it twice so far. Their is a total fire ban on right now we can't even burn our garbage barrels. The cracks in the fields are big enough to stick your hand into. At least this yr we did get a good rain after seeding. The guys with a canola-canola-canola rotation even have good crops.

Down here we never do canola on canola. It is always cereal, cereal, canola.
I know the girl who is doing the Bertha army worm traps in my area and she tells me no problems so far.
The canola is just starting to come into bloom around here. I find a field of canola in full bloom a very pleasing site.
Sorry to hear it is dry up there. Hope you get some timely rain.
