    Sewen;

    Westlock north is no different than Ft. Sask... yet had different conditions... a generally very good Canola yeild and good quality in normal commercial Canola seed.

      I farm in northeast Alberta, I admit my Nexera had frost on it but so did my Invigors and there was no problem with green seed. Nexera was seeded 1 day later.

        I also grew to much Nex 824, I think there was a misprint on the days to maturity, it should have been 365.
        I farm in NE Alta all the other canola varieties I grew also graded #1,I seeded the Nex 1st and most of it is still in the field with 14-28 green, if it would have graded up it would be in the bin. I talked to alot of the local producers that grew this variety and most have the same maturity,quality and yield concerns.
        And to top it all off Bunge will not accept spring harvested canola.
        I don't know about the rest of you but a ballcap,a few bags of seed won't cover my loses. Phone Back Track Investigations, it is just a thought.

          We are a ag-dealer in southwest manitoba. I talked to 15 nex growers 76% of acres were 3 % green, 61% 6 % green, 24% still in the field (OCT 18, but 15% will be # 1

            I've talked to a couple more of my growers. Our picture of Nexara goes as follows; 17 growers with 3850 acres; 70% at 3 plus % green, 57% at 6 plus % green, 22% is no 1 and there is some and there is a bit the guys don't know the count. On the positive side 64% or 2470 acres were positive about the yield. Dow has kept in communication with us, but is saying little except they are trying to gather all the info they can. I have heard some positive things with some of the grain companies about "helping" with grades, but nothing first hand. I do think letting your contracting agent know and talking to a Dow rep. or there 800 would help growers and them to understand how large this is or isn't
