Russia tries to bring its agricultural products to world market
26.01.2005 09:10 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — «Russia is actively trying to sell its agricultural products on world market,» declared Alexey Gordeyev, Russian Agriculture Minister, during Russian exposition ceremonial opening at International Agricultural Selling Exhibition Green Week (c.Berlin).
As to Gordeyev, Russia has a real possibility to bring its foodstuffs to European and world market. «Our foodstuffs are safe, natural, biologically valuable for human organism, — stressed Minister, — our partners in Germany as well as in other western countries understand that.»
As Gordeyev further admitted: «Russia has a huge agricultural innovational potential: in particular, in some agricultural spheres Russian experts have made a real technological revolution.»
Dwelling on present Russian agriculture problems, Minister noticed EU market being closed for Russian agricultural products. "West-European market is distinguished with its high import duties, budgetary subsidies as well as rigid protectionism policy making fair competition impossible, " underlined Gordeyev.
As to him, presently RF could enter into European bakery products market. «European bakery products prices are 6–8 times up against Russian; we have grain excess and are ready to share this renewable resource with Europeans,» said A.Gordeyev
