    Flaman II

    Vader;

    You stated:

    "The reason US farmers don't grow our wheat is that they have higher yielding varieties. Those higher yielding varieties are inferior in milling and baking quality but in their system everything is comingled and quality is lost. There is no advantage to growing a CWRS in the US when you cannot differentiate that quality. American farmers have verified this to me personally over and over again."

    Vader, this is avoiding my point on buy-backs of "designated area" wheat and barley producers grain.

    In Australia, the AWB allows free exports of container lots of wheat, and domestic sales of grain outside of the "single desk" increasing the effectiveness of the AWB.

    Containerised sales of CWRS quality wheat can easily be made from US Northern states...

    by US producers or grain companies...

    IF cherrypicking were possible of real premium priced markets the CWB claims are there to pick off. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN... because there is NO SIGNIFICANT premium market over what US DNS wheat can easily fill.

    Good point on the blending of wheat in the US system;

    When a Canadian farmer sells a load of CWRS wheat to the US, it is normally blended into the some 65mmt of US quality pool of wheat...

    and has no significant effect on CWB marketing in any manner...

    except to lower the amount of CWRS the CWB has to market.... in fact increasing the pool value by reducing the amount of CWRS the CWB must sell into low return markets that dilute the pool to a lower value.

    Vader you have clearly shown why Flaman was right in his original action; THanks.

    Marketing is like Beautiful Ladies.

    There are many lovely ladies in this world.

    Many guys have made a choice, to settle with one special lady... make a special relationship.... by choice and on purpose... for better of for worse, till death do us part.

    Is is a choice on purpose.

    There are Billions of other special ladies in the world... wise fellows chose not to get involved with more than one chosen special partner.

    Marketing has many simularities.

    Vader, your lady the CWB covets my wheat and barley... steals it, without my permission... all in the name of giving you more for your CWB Grain.

    I do appreciate being forced into a relationship with your CWB lady...

    NO.

    STOP.

    Please respect my principals and allow the many who need a dignified option... the right to say NO to the CWB.

    THis was the essence of the principals I know Rod Flaman KNEW... before being distracted and seduced by the CWB.

    Tom4CWB,

    You broach the buyback topic.

    Organic is a premium market.

    The CWB cannot sell into and fill this specialized market with their conventional grain.

    The organic grain is identity preserved, so there is no confususion about what is Board or organic grain.

    Yet the Board continues to refuse export licenses to all Western organic farmers.

    If you live in Ontario, you get $8.00 a bushel in your pocket for your export sale.

    Westerners only receive what is left over after the CWB has pocketed their buyback slice.

    That is how the Federal Government operates the CWB.

    Vader, YOU insist the Directors run the CWB show. If that is so, the Directors knowingly put more money into the pockets of Eastern organic farmers.

      Vader;

      I see this on DTN:

      "WASHINGTON (DTN) -- The director general of the Iraqi Grains Board said today that Iraq is not buying any wheat from Australia at the present time and plans to buy wheat from Australia only if it cannot access wheat from any other country.

      Khalil al-Assi told key members of Congress and the news media at a meeting on Capitol Hill that Iraqi officials are upset because an Australian Wheat Board official said the Iraqis had been paying high prices for Australian wheat for 10 years through the intervention of high Iraqi officials."

      Now Vader... how smart is it to claim the CWB "Extracts" a premium... when this can only offend the customer and insure they absolutely get the best lowest deal possible...

      While the CWB claims like a bunch of scoundrels... that they are extracting a premium.

      The only premium being extracted... is out of the "designated area" farmer's bank account!

      Is it any wonder Your Customer; the CWB's Asian milling buddy that talked to us in Saskatoon said;

      "The CWB says they are Priests but act like a bunch of Playboys"?

      Very Interesting... he knows a scam when he see's one... and was not shy in telling the CWB's farmers!
