    Comments on Alberta Crop Insurance Revenue Insurance Prices and Basis/Other Issues in Calculating Fa

    Just looking for your thoughts on the revenue insurance prices/processes to calculate fall prices for crop insurance. An getting asked the question so am looking for your thoughts.

    Charlie;

    It is too bad that those of us with priced contracted production cannot insure for the contracted price in wheat, barley, canola, and pulses.

    Your price discovery system needs to be predictable, consistant, and publically avaliable pricing information.

    The Alberta Grain Commission does a respectable job of tracking and reporting many different grain prices... good to use their info where possible.

    Is AFSC still doing prices on a basket of October 05 grain prices averaged for the month?

      AFSC is using the same fall pricing process for 2005.
