Really good stuff, charliep. The ABC is to be commended.

One added benefit to this is that it also gives the farm community some opportunity to finetine our product because we have the opportunity to liase with the end user. And that is key.

I seem to remember someone had produced barley snack products for the WBGA/WWGA meeting in February (baked/salted). They were excellent. Are these being produced for the market?

Parlsey, do you remember the name of the product and the company that produced them? Has anything - name of company of product - changed now that they are coming to market?

Melville, it's all propriatary stuff and it will be under a new name, i understand.

charliep, the article you refer to entitled, "FDA Health Claim May Open New Market for Alberta Barley", is so tmely right now, particularly with all the obesity concerns in the Media.

Farmers can capitalize on this. Work hand in hand with business. From the farm to the processing plant to the consumer.

              Traceable.

              In touch.

Building partners. Just what Alberta needs to do. Good on you.
