An emense problem is looming very shortly.. well nov. 1st. Drying costs that were being charged at local elevators that were .12/bus will be .36/bus next week. That is for hrsw at 16% mt but it will all be relative.
I think we might as well just ship it out as though, take the discount and forget that there was ever a bumper crop if we could. The amount of money it is going to take to deliver,dry,and ship the amount of grain along the hwy16 corridor and north in Sask and Alberta will easily surpass any returns we might have had.
What a disapointing end to a promising year. Cash demands for Oct/Nov. will in the most part not be met at all. Grain movement on the CN lines along this corridor have been and continue to be horrible. Grain piles are heating and there is now where to go with it.
