A lot of their links on their website are to supply-management websites if that helps you any.

It is my understanding that they want producers to hold back grain until a higher price is reached.
Almost creating a Wheat board within the CWB.
Basically the same theory that the oil cartel uses.
Good in theory? Maybe. Practical? Not really.
Is anybody out there a member? What has been your experience so far.

I've been a member for 3 years now and have attended a quite a few meetings. I have come to realize that it has a very good idea which forms a grain cartel. We have been manipulated by the major grain companies to sell whenever they offer a premium or a quota. So we hurry into town with a load of grain because if we don't our neighbour will. What farm corp wants to do is be our marketing agent so that we don't sell until we get a price we want. We as farmers have the power to do this since we have the storage on our farms, basic idea, we don't open our grain bin doors until we get what we want. Now is this plan achievable is the next question? Well it's the best idea i've seen to get ourselves out of this market disaster were in right now. It's starts only with as farmers, the major grain companies are thriving off of us now, they do not care about us!! So look into farm corp and check it out, the idea is there we just need numbers to make it work. I have had simply enough with low commodity prices!!

          cityslicker55,

          You say:

"What farm corp wants to do is be our marketing agent so that we don't sell until we get a price we want."

I don't quite understand how this will work, so please be patient with me.

I join farmcorp. I have 10,000 bushels of wheat I want to sell. I want to sell it for $12.00 per bushel to California. I have the buyer. I have the wheat.I need a license.

Tell me what farmcorp's role in my sale is.
Tell me how farmcorp will deal with CWB's licensing.

          Parsley
