We have 19 anti monopoly votes and 10 pro board votes. I am happy to see Vader isnt the only board supporter here but I wonder if you guys read the question properly. It wasnt to get rid of the CWB, only the monopoly.
I think they are two separate issues (not the scare mongering "the CWB cant compete with an open market?"
Tom4CWB, can the board survive without the monopoly? How is Ontario and Australia doing?
I was pretty smart 10 years ago and was convinced to kill the CWB, now I am not so sure, I hope the board can evolve and become accountable to farmers. There have been big changes in the last 10 years (FPC's, EPO's), sometimes better sometimes worse. At least they are trying.
I didnt the open minded undecided people Vader mentioned
"We all post here for one reason only. We get our jollies from making our points to the 10 or so anti-wheat board participants. (Oh and that one other person who does not post and we think might be swung over to our thinking"
Vader you are probably right, at most 10 really anti-CWB and at least 9 who if they cant get accountability would rather see the board die. Even some of the supporters said they wanted change I left a spot for UNDECIDED CWB VOTE but everybody seems to think if the monopoly goes the board dies.
Thanks to everybody that voted (but I cant believe there are only 19 grainfarmers here)
