Alberta Crop Insurance Coverage Prices

Just a note to let Alberta farmers know the coverage prices for the 2006. Variable price benefit is still in place so these prices will increase if the average October price is over 10 % above these levels.

Have the 2005 Spring Price Endorsement/Revenue Insurance payments gone out yet?

Yes the 2005 payments came out about 3 weeks ago. Worked quite well! Over 3$ return for each $ invested.

We did not do a spring price endorsment on Canola... but used other options... about 5$ return for each $ invested doing our own risk management.
