    Midge

    Charlie,

In the Edmonton Area we have wheat midge...

Later wheat with heads emerging till flowering are the most at risk!

All our little pets... that we must feed!

The plot thickens. Wheat midge, american drought, ethanol production and more effect then any of us imagine from hot weather in this country. Maybe just maybe if we all stay alert we have a chance to make some extra money!!!!!!!!! Just a thought.

What are the economic thresh holds on midge with wheat @ $5.00,
I went out last night at 9:30 and checked by getting down in the canopy as well as the canola oil on the ice cream lid. I definatly have midge but not that many (1 per 10 -12 heads) I hate spraying that stuff as far as being totally non selective and killing off your benificial species. that being said I'll do what make the most sense economically. is there diferent thresholds on CPS and CWHS
