Just a note to let everyone know initial payments for 2006/07 have been released. They are below at west coast and St. Lawrence port position. I won't insult you by converting to an elevator price.
1CWRS 12.5 protein (port price) - $137.50/tonne or 66 % of the July PRO.
1CWAD 12.5 protein (port price) - $118/tonne or 61 % of the July PRO.
A Pool Feed barley (port price) - $74/tonne or 60 % of the July PRO.
Special select 2 row barley (port price) - $117/tonne or 67 % of the July PRO.
Special select 6 row barley (port price) - $111/tonne or 66 % of the July PRO.
All other classes, grades and proteins have also been announced. These are important for anyone who is using fixed price contracts. Am working with someone to help them understand why there is a 40 cent a bushel swing in fixed price contract based on when they delivered their 3CWRS (some delivered before November 28 2005 and after - has to do with the initial payment spreads).
