USDA Report - CBT Corn Cruises Through $3/bu

USDA report day and a pleasant surprise in US corn production. Corn is up over $3/bu on the Decemmber futures.

CWB debate will likely carry on here. There are other venues including getting good candidates to run in the CWB director elections, lively debates at election forums and high voting percentage in the odd numbered districts.

Hopefully we can also get some discussion going in a good news market. What should a farmer do in the current rally? Cottonpicken has expressed his opinion. Others will have their opinions. Hopefully we can obtain some balance of topics over the early fall/winter.

Charlie today has been a day for me to reward the grain rallies.

Have 200t Nov del Canola contract

priced out 100t (1/2) about 3 wks ago at $303.7 Nov.

today I priced out the other 100t at 312.4

Still have about 750t Canola unpriced and un contracted.

    The Wheat

I was able to deliver 122t CWRS off combine and did the 80% of PRO with that.

I fixed price 250 tonnes of CWRS today (actually won't be priced until after the close)

Did a May Basis on 500t

this accounts for a little over 90% of CWRS production.

All CPS is unpriced and un contracted.

want to stick to Non Board here.

last week was quoted $3.25 bu FOB farmyard (sw manitoba).

have some hi vomi CPS was offered $3.00

I think the CPS/nbfeed still has decent upside potential.

Looking for around $3.75 to start

Be ready to pull the trigger and reward the rallies, right charlie!

Good job picking off some decent prices. Just a reminder to keep checking on the nb feed market. Feed wheat is close to 4.25 in parts of Alberta and over 3.75 in Manitoba.
