Why is ND Farm Gate Price same as PRO Vancouver

Just looking at the prices for PRO and cant figure out why our relitives in ND are getting 5.75 Us for Durum in the Pit ND Freight elevation all in and here in Good old Canada the Pro is 5.80 Durum Vancouver then Deduct all is $4.20 canadian, Similar for #1 HRS ND vs Vancouver PRo Same.
Some one explain please. Why are we subsidising the Australian Wheat board by filling their contracts?

Last comment ment to say is the reason for this difference that our CWB is helping the AWB with their sales that they cant fill because of the drought.

This is also the same as saying why would a futures price based on an inland delivery point be higher than the price at an export position. Want another useful exercise. Take a FPC quoted price from the CWB which is price at export position( use Vancouver) and then compare that with the price in Portland for a comparable type and grade. You find that there is a huge price spread. Then you ask the question. What is the CWB selling this wheat for basis export Vancouver.

I'm going to guess that the ND price is a spot price. The PRO is a weighted average price that takes into account everything the CWB has done (sold) so far this year and what they expect to sell for the rest of the year. In a rising market, it will always lag behind spot prices.

If the CWB was smart... they would openly publish a selling price daily... basis BOTH Port positions.

had a late night so it may be easy to confuse me. Lots of questions. Re feed are you sure those numbers aren't backwards. Should be bigger spread betwwen feed and 2 CW than feed and CWRW. Next Why would they post numbers on the high proteins. Price the same and assuming no one buying on those Specs. Do you thing that we can extrapolate Thunder bay to Vancouver. Maybe Charlie can help.

Yea Chaffmiester the Spot price has been at that for September October and Now November.
Thats a loss on my farm of $114,500.00 by having our lovely CWB what a great commision I pay them.
Also the Year it frose the CWB in all its wisdom and also the CGC graded extreamly tough supprising to see Cargil that year shipped 3 100 car trains of High protien heavy Feed Wheat to USA and Ontario must be feeding alot of cattle down their.
The CWB couldnt get us a price for our product but the grain companys sure could. Also the Heavy fusariam out break in Southern manitoba and farmers were told its worth .50 Cents a bushel or just burn it, but funny just south it graded a one and they could get 4.00
for it.

Saskfarmer3: My 05 wheat graded 4& feed. Some had HVKs'over 45 falling #s over 350 prot.13.5-14.(#2 Dark Northern) Tough.One elevator wanted a pile for mixing 3 but had car rejections and cancellations.Deals made in Jan for tough feed weren't picked up till May. Butts hauled from same field graded 3,4,& feed dumped in same bin @ elevator.
Lost $100/ac. of the banks $$.
Now have #1 14.6prot.,HVK-97 fall #s 440 piled on ground for 2 months and "The Law of the Land" denies me "permission" to move it..
The only "fix" is a full flamethrower!

Just anouther note was at the Red Deer Trade show talking to CWB rep and Booth they couldnt believe that a US farmer 1 mile in from Canada was getting $5.75 US a Bushel for #1 13.00 Durum, They had every excuse and played Dumb Dumb. I really would like them to show me My PROFIT FROM THEM!
