I might point out that the area I live in voted overwhelmingly for Jim Chatenay? A voice in the wilderness for quite a long time? There are not a lot of large grain farmers in this area as the land is very expensive and in many cases better suited to cattle! In fact Chatenay was not a large grain farmer but more involved in cattle.

Chatenay is no longer involved in either cattle or farming. One would wonder if his viewpoints continue to carry any validity. He will probably not be eligible to vote in any CWB events in the future.

Now I've known Jim my whole life...unlike some on here. He is a man of integrity and is a decent upstanding citizen.(And he was a pretty decent goalie...got a cup of coffee with St. Louis Blues!)

Jim Chatenay will get the vote around here...just as long as he wants it and no little "CWB" boys will be able to deny the people of this area that right? We don't like the CWB, never have, never will! As An interesti9ng side note...when Jim went to jail all the "big" farmers in the area took his crop off! And when a bull beat him up the public response was coverwhelming! It's not the CWB boys that are going to keep Jim from voting....it's Canada's New Government. They are the ones who are taking voters off the list. The new rule, according to Chuck Strahl, is that if you haven't sold wheat or barley in the last year and a half you're not entitled to automatically get a vote.
