    Larry , Curly and Moe

Larry ,Curly and Moe (Stephen, Chuck and David ) wise up! 60% of farmers voted for single desk supporters so back OFF!! CEO Adrian Measner was found by searching North America wide BY THE DIRECORS for a man with his credentials , the directors then asked the gov't at the time to appoint him .So back OFF !!
CWB customers are spending half of their meeting with salespeople asking about stability of CWB. And Chuck has the audacity to say he is not responsible for uncertainties at the board. Back OFF!

With friends like Larry,Curly and Moe in Ottawa we don't need any enemies.

The last govt, not the one that got democratically elected endorsed Measner...over 60% of voters did not support the status quo, most did not even bother to vote....they did not search all over N America for Measner...he was a lifer at the board....and in the end he should move on as he cannot understand that while he has a board to answer to, the ultimates boss's are the democratically elected govt of Canada....

and the only ones bringing up the stability of the board are the dumb ^%$#^%'s working for it as the wheat is not going anywhere..there more concerned about their jobs, survival, and control than getting good value for the farmers that pay their wages.. literally....as i still wait to move my much ballyehooed #1 CWRS.....

we overhwhelmingly elected a voice for change in our region......so bring it on....

if you do not like ...why do not you move closer to your liberal brethren in the east, that would even get you out of the designated area where they have choice in how they market their grain!!

2/3rds majority required in Quebec to establish a compulsory marketing board.

60% majority required before Manitoba will impose a VOLUNTARY checkoff.

Lets face it guys, cwb doesn't have the required support.

Boy, this CWB discussion is still driving me nuts. All I am asking for is to have my own marketing in my own hands. I do not care about others, how they market their products, what they do and have or need. Just give me my freedom. I, then may turn around and go the pool, CWB way. But don't forth me!!!

Now I'm not sure what "voters district" I am in but it is Chatenays? So does that mean we should be treated like Creston BC and be able to opt out of the designated area?
After all we keep voting this guy in no matter what? When the FEDERAL government throws him in jail....we keep voting him in? Does that tell you a wee bit about democracy? Does it tell you that in my "DA"....we don't want the CWB?
          Well so much for democracy!!!!

60%! Wow, what overwhelming support. And basically the other 40% are forced to give up their right to sell their own product because of this lukewarm endorsement!

I'm tired of this debate and all the crap about multi-nationals wanting to kill the CWB. They want the CWB to stay, because their margins on board grain are the fattest. They don't have to compete for the grain and their tariffs are guaranteed. What does that say about the value to farmers? And why do end-users line up to support the CWB? Is it because they like paying the premium prices the CWB supposedly extracts. No, it's because the CWB prices the wheat low to get it into their hands (malt barley is prime example). And don't give me the argument that the CWB ensures a quality product. That is due to the CGC and has nothing to do with the CWB.

The CWB "let me wine dine and prove how you how wonderful we are show" began with hosting farmers on tours.
"The how wonderful we are" demonstrations, now in addition to farmers sponsor the young and influential minds of elevator staff & agents.

I am not sure under what department of expense this would be categorized as
in regards to marketing grain for farmers but I am sure there is some logical explaination that the CEO and Ken Ritter can provide.

However it would appear the purpose of this is to be sure we "elevator staff" are able to sing from the same song sheet the title being "how great thow art".

The latest verse is: the board cannot survive without the monopoly, imagine having to give up the government financing.

The process is working as a farmers are hearing from elevator agents we really need the board, a dual market would not work. So, the wolf we sought to protect ourselves from now actually support the board. (Ever wonder why?)

The reality is the CWB serves the system well. Elevator handling rates here are re many times higher the US, or AU, in addition elevators get paid well for storeage of grain, and guaranteed order system means the supply of grain comes at no risk of the open market which could create shorts which have the potential to distort profit margins, a captive farmer guarantees supply. Small wonder million dollar profits can be made from one location (with the exception of SWP of course).

But not unlike the SWP in its final days, the CWB serves the system better than the farmers it is supposed to serve. And to boot the unsuspecting peasants love the system too.

A myth is hard to defeat. Facts pale in the challenge. Fear is a powerful factor, and surely when elevator agents say the board is good we must all be wrong.

Don't worry guys Chuck said we are still going to have a Barley Pleblicite vote sometime in Feb,we will have the choice then to say. It's to bad though that I have to suffer with my grain, when guys that support Single Desk, plain & simple are just to lazy to market their own grain. LET FREEDOM RING!!

The only problem is that an election will be underway by then and the whole thing will get dropped. It's a very real possibility that the conservatives won't get back into office and we'll have to wait until the liberals have another scandal. Maybe it won't be long, after all.
