    ? FOR CP

Question for CP I’m sort of following the other markets like you do . I’ve been watching these threads for months and usually don’t post much cause they usually end up in another direction .What is your take on the Can $ if the US$ breaks below the 80.00 on the index chart? Will we break with them or stand alone? Will the index funds and hedge funds give us a head fake and not enter in the beginning of the new year since everyone so bullish and plan a entry a bit later ? Just curious to your thoughts as I’m trying to figure this market heading I hear 20 billion in new money flowing into oil and energy

Once it breaks below 80 the next support level is 72 but who knows it could go way lower.Canadas balance sheet is one of the strongest in the world so i would expect our dollar to soar. This may be a bad time to be a canadaian manufacturer.

Energy is do for another leg up.20 billion sounds a little small to me,the world uses 90 million barrels a day so its a huge market.

thanks cp, i know very little about currency fundamentals but have been watching it and wondering because it's going to matter a lot to new-crop heding strategies.

right now i feel like selling 2007 wheat futures, just on 10% or something to lock in a portion of the crop at these 10-year high prices. maybe i'll do more if they get some rain in the hrw belt. anyway if the dollar is bullish i'll take the cwb's future price, converted to canadian dollars, but if it's going down i'd be better off booking it through my broker, in us dollars only.

any other thoughts on cd$ direction?

Our dollar market is relativly small but personally i think it will go very, very high along with the swiss. The euro will also go higher as countries try to get out of their dollar reserves.Alot of this money will also go into tangibles like oil. This is what has already been happening.
Some of the guys i'm around and am on the same page with are buying wheat futures.I havent entered yet.

What do you think of buying some gold companies or like xgd E.T.F. on the exchange as a ride the commodity bull this way or say a uranium company ?

Uranium has come along way in a short time so i dont know?
All commodities should rise and the trick IMO would be to find the most undervalued.
