Thinking of investing or moving some funds into Westco, Agrium ext. My feeling is that these companies are going to see some huge profits this upcoming year. Good move - bad move? Any one fert. company that is poised to outpace the others? Or am I dreaming that we are going to pay big time for fert. and natural gas will stay between $7-8?

Here are some thoughts - Thee companies will do will if they can sell more product at stronger prices and generate greater earnings per share........The USA is going to plant more corn acres because of the demand from ethanol and current price - this will greatly increase the demand for N P and K fertilizers....the current prices will encourage maximizing yields so no one will be cutting rates I suspect...This should result in greater earnings per share and stronger share price.....Good Luck.

CP,
Timing is everything.
In spring of 1996 we thought everything had changed! By 1998... we learned that high prices fix high prices.
This is common knowledge... a profit in the pocket is much better than a bird in the bush... and a bunch of broken eggs, or no eggs at all; in your basket!
As I said earlier,
Without the freedom to fail... we cannot have the freedom to prosper!
Go for it CP... it can't be much more risky than grain farming!
