    Weather in Aust/Markets

Nearly all weather forecasters legitimate and loony are all predicting a well above average year here and season to start early and finish late. Historically aust has a very good year after severe drought.
Some wheat forecasters are suggesting biggest exportable surplus ever next year if weather is kind because farmers are planting fence to fence wheat. More wheat in EU, china US probably canada with kind weather wheat could drop faster than we think come april may and you guys seem to be blindly bullish.
Wheat rallied on bullish corn not much else.
I hope cp is right and we do see the numbers hes hoping for but for now its getting very very toppy had usda report been bearish what would have happened......

Anything over 5.00 for 07 and 08 is there for the taking for australian growers.

Happy new year to you all as well

    Mallee,

    Strategies,

How do we get the cheapest hedge, with the best down side protection, with the least cost, risk, and easiest exit strategy?

I am bullish... because this was a very healthy pullback... but the market is certainly getting toppish!

IS THE BULL FREIGHT TRAIN comming to a stop?

I tend to think a prudent stop right now would be a good management decision!

Mallee---In Canada, I don't think we have experienced the wheat price rally that other countries have. It has been much more apparent in canola, peas and feed barley. Therefore, at this time I foresee Western Canada'a acres of wheat to be way down, and barley and canola to be way up. Peas will increase in the drier areas that can't grow canola very well, but may decrease in canola country.

From what I've been reading wheat acres are substantially higher and I think some farmers around here are saying why grow wheat?when I can grow feed barley or oats.I think wheat acres are going to lose to feed barley and durum. But I don't think the cut back here will stop the world from growing a big crop.
