I would recommend watching Al Gores new documentry"an inconvient truth".

If you can still be against kyoto after watching this...

I do believe in climate change and that it is a reality.But Kyoto was a farce tell me what exactly the Liberals accomplished by signing us up.Evryone should be asking what is Dion's record on reducing emissions.12 years went by and they did nothing,so They have no credibility on this issue what so ever.
Signing up a gym membership doesn't mean you are going to lose weight.You have to actually do some exercise to see results.Unfortnately the Liberals seem to think signing up to good intentions,publicity,and lots of rhetoric is going to lower emissions.Unfortnately all they gave us was a lot of hot air.

I doubt if there is anybody that can deny climate change. There used to be a mile of ice above my farm here on the prairies. Greenland used to be warm enough to sustain farming, but now it's a giant glacier.

There is a huge difference of opinion amongst climatologists on what causes climate change, and how much influence human activity has on the process. An “inconvenient truth” that is ignored by Al Gore.

Cottenpicken: About thirty years ago every scientist worth his salt was predicting a new ice age? I realize you aren't old enough to know this, but that is the truth.
I think something is happening with the weather, but I have no clue whether that is due to man or just nature? Do you?
I fail to really see how "Kyoto" will really solve anything? Buy credits...so I can continue to pollute? Does that really make sense? Or is it just another socialist scheme to transfer wealth from the "haves" to the "have nots"?
Al Gore has no credibility? He lobbied against "smoking"...at least until an attentive reporter pointed out his own "plantation" grew close to 17,000 acres of tobacco! They further pointed out his family were major slaveholders and benifitted from it greatly! He didn't know what to say.
Al Gore is a flake and has nothing to teach anyone. He got his money through exploiting the environment, human health, and African slaves...and now he is the big white "master" who is going to save the world? Good thing Americans saw through this charlatan!

Interesting choice of words. Religious beliefs can be based on evidence and historical fact. Others simply believe.
How many of the 99 "believers" have any training in climatology? I get the distinct feeling that there has been a whole lot of BS in the climate debate designed to encourage the redistribution of money away from “wealthy carbon producers”. Failed presidential candidates making movies about “global warming” doesn’t exactly dispel that notion. Canada ratified Kyoto with the only achievable target being the sending of large amounts of Canadian taxpayer’s money overseas. Sound like it could possibly be a scam?

For interests sake, I’ll probably take the movie out of the library when they get a copy, but I’m not willing to purposely fund what appears to be Hollywood junk science, thanks.

Never claimed that “all the worlds scientists” think climate change isn’t caused by human activity, but there are many who have sincere doubts that it’s the slam dunk that Gore says it is.

Something that is often overlooked in this debate is that communications have improved so much that any weather event in the world is in our livingroom almost immediately.How many weather events did we miss in the past. At the same time there are signs that things are changing. Sadly climate change can be like a runaway locomotive. If we ignore the first signs we have a problem, by the time we confirm it we may be too late to reverse the engine.

Climate change is a fact.

4 or 5 ice ages proove that. Before we humans found and burn fossil fuels.

We have had the warmest year since records began 300yrs ago.
How long is that in the exstance of the earth?

I do not question climate change but do question mans involment.

We may be doing harm with co2 but perhaps we are delaying the next ice age.

To think humans can change the world to order is beyond my comprehension.

The reality is - climate changes.
Political alarmists won’t change that.
Junk science won’t change that.
Redistributing income definitely won’t change that.

Alarmists claimed that summer 2006 was supposed to have more hurricanes than 2005. Anyone else remember that prediction? Didn’t happen.
The last ice age came and went, and I’m not much looking forward to the next one. Personally, I’d fear global cooling a lot more, which is maybe why alarmists are now referring to “climate change” instead. Hedging their bets? Maybe they’ll try to scare us with “global cooling” if the facts don’t play out like they thought. Whatever keeps the money flowing.
