How old are you? 10? 12?

"This isn't about sending money overseas"

    That is hilarious.

Kyoto is only about sending money to someone else so that we can keep doing what we are doing.

Why do you think the countries that have room under the caps they were given are so anxious to have us start complying?

I know you are no scientist, and I know you are not a farmer, but I have to wonder why the worlds best trader of commodities needs to watch the words written on this site so closely? Shouldn't you be in the south of france this season?

We all should ask ourselves how much is this going to cost? Dion says in the big picture we will be about the richest nation in the world as we teach all the dummies everywhere else! Do you believe him? I don't.
The age of oil will come to an end. Technology will solve the problem. The problem is: how do we get there??
I wonder what happens when we send all that cash to Russia...what will they use it for? Will they get those old dirty plants up and running again?
If anyone even believes this removing CO2 by carbon credits...how about paying the Canadian farmer for storing it? At least he'll have a few bucks to spend down at the local store?
Personally I think if Tim Ball is the "oil companies" boy...then thank God we have the oil company to pick up the tab, because with old Al around we are all going to be a lot poorer!

I heard Tim Ball speak a few years ago at a conference and although I didn't agree with his stand ,he was very entertaining!
I can see why he would be hired to contradict the accepted science , the man could sell ice to the eskimos.

(and in the future he might have to )

          I'm a 100% farmer.
The reason i studie and blab about commodities so much is because i'm addicted to watching the markets.

I dont understand how people think we would ever send a nickel to the worlds largest energy exporter(russia).

If Kyoto turns out to be a giant wealth transfer sceme, then i am wrong and it is b.s.

Global warming on the other hand is a reality that should be tackled.

So you are convinced that we are causing our own demise by producing too much CO2, but you don't even know what Kyoto really means?

Cottenpicken: You baffle me! You say Kyoto is the real meal deal but you don't understand it?
Have you ever looked at the carbon credit thing? Russia stands to make untold billions...because their economy has basically failed? Why do you think they signed Kyoto?
I do believe there is some opportunity for the Canadian farmer through the Kyoto protocol. It is BS, but money in the pocket, none the less?
Are you really sure you are up to snuff, on all this stuff? Or did you buy old Als BS... hook, line and sinker?

Ignorance might be the unfortunate result of relying solely on Hollywood movies and politicos to provide scientific or economic information?

I thought kyoto was setting targets and meeting those targets so a country wasnt penalized. How else would you enforce it?
Everybody in the world except us and us and australia went for it.Over 5.5 billion people got together to fight something and we pussed out.
The liberals dropped the ball big time but the conservatives have isolated us.

You are still missing the point chart boy.

Major polluters like India, China, Russia do not have to try and reduce anything!

They will be given money so we can keep doing what we are doing. The only way we can meet it is if we shut down everything. Personally I like sleeping in a warm house at night.

Then, they can spend it any way they want.

Do you think that is a smart thing to do?

The US and Australia were the only ones smart enough to see what a scam it was and told them to pound sand. And by the way, since it signed, our emissions are way up and the US is down big time. Explain that one smart guy.

                      CAPITALIZED BS IS STILL BS

CP, when you yell that “ALL THE SCIENTIST ARE ON MY SIDE-YOU ARE ON THE FRINGE WITH A SMALL GROUP OF LOBBYIST-THAT IS THE REALITY-SORRY”,
                      I have to assume that:
A there’s a lot of scientists who you say are on the fringe?, and
B you consider them not to be scientists at all, but lobbyists? or
C we are arguing about some alternate reality.

If it’s A, then you must realize that there are a lot of scientists that you would consider to be on the fringe? Just because Al Gore ignores conflicting evidence, doesn’t mean all of academia does.

If it’s B, then why aren’t you calling Al Gore’s followers lobbyists? Aren’t they the ones getting all the government grants to study the problem? Isn’t Gore himself doing some pretty serious lobbying? Hmm, Tim Ball has something to gain here, but Al Gore doesn’t????

If it’s C, then I’m wasting my time. I admire your zeal cp, but I do think its misplaced.
