Yes...and did you see the crappy land that they farm. Dryland farming at its best. If the Afghanis can make a profit there, then they must be darned good farmers.If the dirty thirties come back with climate change, we may have to invite them over to show us how to farm.

That was an interesting news item. I wonder how come it is such a bad thing? I think they said all kinds of countries grow poppies for legal opiates and one option would be to legalize it for the medical trade?
Would the price go down if the government regulated the price?
I also wondered where does Canada get its "medical dope"? Can we grow poppies here for opiate production? If the answer is yes, are we? Is it a viable money making crop?
Didn't the government try to grow some medical marijuauna in a mine a few years back? How did that turn out?
