Mr. Arason has not been given signing authority and it is not clear whether Strahl can do anything about it. This all comes about as Strahl's tactics of bypassing the board to appoint directors ,with his thinking, has failed to gain a majority due to the board election results.

Agstar. Someone pointed this out to me and I just checked my CWB Fixed Price check dated 16th of January ,2007. It was signed by Adrian Measner and B Chell. Guess I should be running to the bank quickly before someone rules it invalid. Is not forging a signature an offense in the court of law.

Craig:
Why are you surprised that the current BOD is playing politics with your money?
The Freedom of Information Act change will allow farmers to see exactly where their money has gone and to whom.
Quote:
Controlled by western Canadian farmers, the CWB is the largest wheat and barley marketer in the world. As one of Canada's biggest exporters, the Winnipeg-based organization sells grain to over 70 countries and returns all sales revenue, less marketing costs, to farmers.
Unquote
Less marketing costs includes Eastern Canadian Law firms with Liberal connections.
Agstar: With that same Order in Council there can be no cost export liscenses issued for ALL of Canada - not just select areas as determined by the CWB.
Keeping poking Strahl and see if you win. I really hope the D&O Liability insurance is solid. If you are going to challenge the Act on that - someone challenge the Act on removing the liability from the BOD in 1998.
No one will because of the money required. But its ok to spend farmer's money...yes sir.
Keep working, all of you farmers. Someone has to pay for the political games. And shit rolls downhill.
Its Survial Prairies - a game show being played with real money - and farmers get to pay twice - once with CWB funds and once as a taxpayer.
Bend over again - you may like it more the 100th time.

incognito: I think that you are being a bit overdramatic.
In good time this will be sorted out. All Chucky has to do is RECOGNIZE the authority of the ELECTED board of directors.
After that is done...no problem.
As long as Chucky USURPS the board's authority, then I don't blame them for putting the brakes on.

wilagrow,
The elected Board of Directors are not respecting the will of Parleiament.
Which part of Comply in the Act do you not understand?
Sections 3, 6 and 18 of the Canadian Wheat Board Act state:

This is what they are fighting over Wilagro:
And you will pay a CWB Lawyer and a Crown lawyer to find it out.
