They have new roller slide gates and fender posts are now bolted on instead of welded. Apparently both changes were made at the start of this year. I went electric anyway.

JD 55 was the first combine I drove open station not the fancy ones with cabs like my neighbors . Goggles and skidoo suit required when combining in October. likley x9 seat cost as much or more than whole 55

I wonder why combine manufacturers don't have the unload bottom augers in the hopper moving grain to the back with the swing out auger in the center, allowing both left and right side grain unloading. There are times when this feature would be used.
