Friday COCKTAIL

So just to start out here is the Friday cocktail before I get on the big bird and head south.

It’s been one fun three weeks back in Saskatchewan with the awesome weather we have had.

So today I’m flying into a minor hurricane starting Saturday to Tuesday night but since it’s late in the season just strong winds and lots and lots of rain plus chance of a tornado. Fun times it’s ok.

this week in Ottawa little Steven called his new senators and reminded them that hero Trudeau appointed them to do little Jesus’s work and stop farmers from getting a break on drying grain and heating barns and other stuff.

but food prices won’t be effected.

its time to take little Jesus to the train station.

It was his week as he went to Dubai and promised the world with caps and all on oil and gas plus cows in canada can’t burp.

Classic Old Fashioned

The old fashioned is a classic cocktail that was invented in Louisville, KY. You can make it with bourbon, rye, or a blended whiskey. You can also substitute one sugar cube for the simple syrup.
Ingredients

• 2 teaspoons simple syrup
• 1 teaspoon water
• 2 dashes bitters
• 1 cup ice cubes
• 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger bourbon whiskey
• 1 slice orange
• 1 maraschino cherry

Directions

1. Pour simple syrup, water, and bitters into a whiskey glass; stir to combine. Add ice cubes and pour in bourbon. Garnish with orange slice and maraschino cherry.

be.

We have used Steinbach for a while now, they do a few things different compared to our local bank (Pay your savings interest once at the end of the year, and you need $250k minimum to see those higher rates). They have good people and would recommend them.

This is all my opinion but $10 wht sounds great but we can hardly see $9 for 1red13.5. Calendar keeps changing months and I think a lot of wht will be (and has) been sold before we see that elusive $10 again in eastern sask. Same can be said about big canola prices, Someone has been selling at these “lower” prices as our local crush is filled till February and the other April. Commodities seems to be trending lower and long term it is squeezing the farmers margin for the 2024 crop. I’d be careful about large expansions if using someone else’s money, however there are many strong farms out there with money sitting on the sidelines still.

I’m hoping prices go for a run higher but the strength in our cad dollar and slower export pace (railways parking cars due to lack of demand) a person wants to be realistic. And if you have the three B’s (balls, bin space and bank account) do whatever you want lol.

They (SCU) do put interest earned into a variable account each month and it earns at variable rate which is 3.8% right now , and then is added to the GIC/RRSP and earns at the rate it is at , I think ?
also pay a member bonus every year on loans or deposits
