Premier Smith needs to announce that the moratorium on green energy scams in Alberta will be extended indefinitely. Until the promoters of wind and solar can address the intermittent nature problem, there will be no more hooking to the grid in Alberta.

My new car battery is not living up to the conditions. I’ve got farm trucks with ancient batteries that never get plugged in and they’ll start the one time a month I do plug them in for use. In the car? Nah, no go. Trying to boost the stupid thing with a booster box now.

I would hope other “new” technology batteries live up to their hype better than this one is. Also hoping the truck I plugged in works in the morning even though it hasn’t moved in weeks Lol

Yeah it’s not fun but last 10 yrs days over 40c and extended heatwaves become less in my state/province but other states who knows. Remember growing up sheeez used to have weeks of plus 40c followed by storms

I start sweating at 20. Mind you I ran cats at -50 or worse. But that was a while ago, now I just hurt.

In the 1950s my dad worked on the railroad, one year for two weeks never got warmer than a high of -40. We are paying carbon tax hoping to see that again?

Is the car battery a different group and lower cranking amps?

No clue. I was trying to remember where I even got it from and how old it is. Think it said it’s 690 cca when I read it last night. Whatever it has wasn’t enough Lol

It did start this morning so it’s not total garbage I guess.

Vehicle batteries are not made like they used to Blathin , that’s for sure .
I lost count of how manny batteries we have gone through at the farm the past few years . Most only last 2-3 years it seems .
Had original batteries in the one 9270 case tractor for nearly 20 years .
frustrating when you see the advancements is batteries for power tools and nearly everything else .
