Once again it looks like new record cold temps will be recorded at the nearby Vegreville weather station. This station is in the middle of a section of land at the Alberta Innovates center so no urban heat island effect. This is why there is no evidence of globull warming at all. The forecast calls for -46 which should beat the -44.6 recorded in both Feb 2019 and Dec 2021. Who knew carbon taxes would work so well.

We had an old mercury thermometer where below -30 the mercury would all be in a little bulb at the bottom. I remember it not coming out of that bulb for over a month. Haven't seen that for a few years now. Also remember snow covering fences all over the prairies and being able to ride snowmobiles where ever you wanted. Haven't seen either for like 40 years.

Short memories I guess
Was a long cold snowy winter …….just last year in most western North America.

Pushed the feed bunks this morning first time this winter. Already had a mountain of snow pushed away this time last year and we seen lots of dam cold already. I was getting pretty spoiled already. -21 at noon and down hill from here I guess.

According to Nasa earth is 3 million miles closer to Sun in the dead of winter than mid summer and no I didn't get that backwards.
