    Had a good sales run off the combine. Barley peas gone and half wheat and canola gone. Rest well see in April because might change acreage if they don't want the shit and all good marketers know it knows.

        There are several brands that I like. Oban, Glenlivit, Glenfiddich, Glen Deveron and also Chivas is good for a blend.

            Lagavulin top notch. Octomore is probably the best thing ive ever tasted if you like a peaty thing...

            What isnt a million bucks? Tractors...combines... whats a new swather? 300k? Absurd.

            Confirmed some rent land not too far away just went for 170/ ac... booming crop of canola would be 55 bpa.

            I believe that we are now in a " scramble cycle" where the big guys are trapped in lease payments and cant risk losing any land...so they will farm for 50-80$/ ac net revenue ( hopefully) and pay exhorbitant rents in order to save face and not have to drive a * gasp* 3 yr old machine.
            1 million for a tractor might be the stupidest thing ive ever read. Honestly.
            let that sink in.

            Seat. Hydraulic pump. Engine. AC. Traction.
            there is absolutely nothing that a milion dollar tractor can do that a 350 k tractor cant. Except warranty, i suppose.

            i wish someone could figure out a reasonable rental scheme for 4wds. 15$/ ac ? Boom rented . Id pay that all day long if it kept a tractor from sitting in the shop for 10.5 months of the year.

            The silly part about it is that these tractors then get hours put on them in order to justify the payments of both the tractor and the vert till unit/ high speed tillage ( which might be the worst priced and over used piece of equipment we have access to...i saw a degelman protill being pulled around this fall on canola stubble.. on CANOLA stubble! What drill cant handle seeding into no till canola straw!!)

            ughh.. we truly are our own worst enemies half the time.

              Do you know how much a "Pro till" will cost you?

              Between 1 and 2 inches of topsoil in the ditch per year.
