Apparently no one wants to discuss commodity marketing.
Yet when someone starts a thread speculating about BTOs, it gets a flurry of activity.
Ha, I saw that one. It's the middle of winter. Direct correlation between activity and temperature.

Speaking of shady businesses what come of input capital? Perhaps there’s a correlation with the rise of this large farm?

What a great topic to increase activity on Commodity Marketing by the "New Kid in Town"

          Mission somewhat accomplished.

Second time in a very short period this has happened.

Makes you wonder who's who on Agriville is all.

Imagine that , someone who wants to discuss an important issue for many of us and not being condescending or ignorant to posters on here . And responses are quick and respectful.

The big problem with Monette and this type of activity is that is raises the cost of production and diminishes opportunity for the rest of us who are trying to make wise decisions. The biggest faker wins until the whole operation goes down.

Definitely has happened before with One Earth and several others that have imploded. But this is now a much larger scale .
no doubt it’s happening in many other countries like Brazil and Eastern Europe .

It has happened in a lot of industries where someone thinks with big money behind them they can defy all rules, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Look at Thrasio with Amazon, they just went bankrupt.

That is my concern as well.
We think we are competing against each other, but our competition in South America and FSU is the elephant in the room.
I think we can be very competitive if we can keep government out of the way, but if we have outside entities artificially forcing up land costs, both purchase and rent, and averaged across all acres, it drives up our cost of production unnecessarily, then we can't compete on the world stage.

If this turns out to be unsustainable, or if it is outside investment and eventually the investors lose interest, and they eventually fail, then the legacy costs this added to the remaining producers will take years and decades to work through the system. Keeping our COP higher than it should otherwise be.

The other option is that these operations are that much more efficient, or know more about the future than we do, and their investments will pay off, while we sit on the sidelines scratching our heads and complaining.

Easy big guy, no problem here, just saying it took a while till Justme18 admitted like a man who he was after Bigwheels asked.

I was gald he came to visit the dome of knowledge and hope he comes back. This site needs new blood after years and years of regurgitation

Never been a problem of mine who posts on Agriville the more the better, just looking at things from a different angle then you do.

We all don't farm the same, right?

                                Yup
The only thing that burns me are those who falsely pose themselves as farmers , and only purpose is to try to come on here and shame . Thankfully most of them get called out and leave
can’t stand condescending people who have never stepped in our shoes let alone wore then for years
