BGMB Good point. Either open market or monopoly. Brokers have no capital and still do their fair share of marketting.
Well not much capital. I am sure that buyers have preference to certain brokers in the same way that CWB buyers will have preference to them. That is if they are any good.

Although is the CWB still going to have gov't guarantees? An advantage.

I guess should have voted #2 but I hate the CWB so bad that getting total rid of that organization is what I would like!

I received a ballot in the mail but I thru it out as I haven"t grown barley since the early 90's.

We weren't getting enough yield to offset the price difference over durum.

If plebiscite #2 wins then we are truly a sad and naive bunch.

Checked my old permit books and 2000 was the last year that I grew barley so I will destroy my ballot.

Talk of these multiple ballots has a smell to it.

Talk of people who haven't grown barley in years getting ballots has a smell to it.

I have been in touch with several neighbours and it seems that their is no rhyme or reason to how many or if you got one. I haven't received one to date and phoned to get one.

This is troubling as barley has been my major crop acreage wise.
