Only 1 vote for the open market here. Is it OK to be a Dumpster Diver?
I bet people from the Single minded side wouldn't do that, would they?
      Well I'm going to town.

I received a ballot and have not grown barley for at least seven or eight years. Still debating if I should use it or not. See they are using the same nonesense as the CWB--- ballots and introductory letter have numbers on them.

          That should read identical numbers.

The plebiscite I,ve seen circulated around here goes like this

                  1. Chuck and David should shave their mustache and goatees off.

                  2. Chuck and David should shave their facial hair but keep it to paste back on when needed.

                  3. Chuck and David should keep their facial hair intact.

Most people (like W.B.Growers) are voting for # 2

                    1 vote for #2 here

Not sure why anyone would vote for #3 I don't see any reason to exclude the CWB from barley marketing. If they can attract business then all the power to them.

BGMB Good point. Either open market or monopoly. Brokers have no capital and still do their fair share of marketting.
Well not much capital. I am sure that buyers have preference to certain brokers in the same way that CWB buyers will have preference to them. That is if they are any good.

Although is the CWB still going to have gov't guarantees? An advantage.

I guess should have voted #2 but I hate the CWB so bad that getting total rid of that organization is what I would like!

I received a ballot in the mail but I thru it out as I haven"t grown barley since the early 90's.

We weren't getting enough yield to offset the price difference over durum.

If plebiscite #2 wins then we are truly a sad and naive bunch.

Checked my old permit books and 2000 was the last year that I grew barley so I will destroy my ballot.
