Isn’t it a little strange Chuck Chuck hasn’t come to Darrin’s defense?

A few of us warned of this circus coming years ago and rest of the Ag industry and farmers ignored it and everyone thought the NFU was completely insignificant.
Well … they slid right in and just become very significant like rats unchecked . They just played their cards right with the powers at play with the flavour of the day while most farms and ag professionals stuck with their egos and stigmas unfortunately .
Just look at European farm protests now , we ignored this too long .

There is clearly four splinters going on in Ag
        1. Monnette
        2. Very large , 50,000 acre plus farms and Huts .
        3. The average family generation farms , wide range , no matter .
        4 . the hobbyists

my concern is the hobbyists that have the ear of the current deranged feds and the Monnette’s external unlimited capital to take everything in sight .

The Hutts are the best at squeezing out the competition from area farmers wanting to expand.

They have one hell of a system set up here in Western Canada.

Everything registered under the Church, so what do they pay in taxes of all sorts.

God, Bible, and money go hand in hand on those Colonies.

Having met Darrin, I am quite certain they are not the same person. He's actually quite personable, intelligent and polite. None of which are words even the most generous could use to describe our chuck. The type of person you can have a two-sided discussion with, without degenerating into insults and the name calling.

They are both blinded by the same ideology, and it's not hard to see where Chuck gets his marching orders from.

Darrin's book is on my list to be read. While I'm sure the bias will be unpalatable, the topic is one that fascinates me. It's always good to see an issue from both sides.

Biggest problem in canada is idiots like the farmers union have the ear of this useless gov. Hobby farmers thinking they can feed the world with bullshit.

If you feel threatened by Hutts. Farm better. And perform better. All the colonies around got new field bosses after Covid. Very little experience. Lots of input from the ones underneath.

                      Yes.
At the end of the day you are in a commodity business.
Finite resources and products with prices set world wide.
Farms with eligible net sales over say, $3M are already doing most or all technology available for economic reasons.
The 80% of "farms" below that are where the NFU live.
Which operations can best fund changes without huge economic disruptions throughout the economy.
Jeffersonian style agricultural dreams won't work in a geographic bubble.
Everyone knows this yet the "80%" have a seemingly disproportionate political voice.
                      That's the real issue.
                      This theory applicable world wide.
Responsible stewardship world wide necessary. But I'm not sure the NFU has the solution.
