Well the big goose should slide across the border today or tomorrow.

Winter wheat looks real. good in southern states and they are planting in the Delta. It snowed in Iowa and Illinois and the wheat is just coming out of dormancy in Minnesota and ND.
One thing observed their is less wheat than in other years.

Sask at our farm the melt is on. Looks muddy in the yard and soft.
Burrow pit is almost full to.the brim.

My newly hired farm guy is working out really well thanks for letting him go Regina.

Drill two is out because Bourgalt is coming to do some work.

No new land to rent or buy nothing is changing this spring.

Doing final seeding plans.

Meeting reps when home and attending se spring drill.and sprayer clinics.

If your seeding let us know southern Alberta.

Drews forecast is ok for eastern Sask and only thing i didn't like was a stationary high over us in July. Not Good. And comparison to 1988. 2006 was ok. Time will.tell.

Oh found something in the usa that might be very handy in Canada if it works for fertilizer. I pissed away bigger dollars on other things maybe this one will be the golden egg.

More road trip shots. It's dry in Fargo snow is all gone compared to last year. It's wet in lower usa states to the east

New land in Manitoba is around 8300 acres.

Usa job growth of workers going back to work 303000 and in canada your laid off because you farm from a farm supplier.

Must be close to 6 inches of heavy wet snow in Calgary.

Your very handy fertilizer gadget. Could it be any worse than the $1000.00 magnet seed treat gadget that you placed over the drill fill outlet? Grain would be up three days earlier due to proper seed alignment.

I wonder if furrow is still using it on his seed plot trays since he doesn't like posers.

I managed to get an official tenth, and I didn't have to round up!

Robins are back, the yard is alive with the sound of birds, and the grass is going to attempt to green up. If it wasn't for the stress of trying to cashflow and plan out an entire year with imperfect information, all while knowing soil moisture reserves are essentially non-existent, this time of year could almost be considered pleasant.

Things yet to do:
-seed to clean
-a small amount of fertilizer yet to bring home (might just happen during seeding, we'll see)
-some equipment yet to patch up
-a gps to figure out

I think another 15-16 days, unless mother nature decides to be generous, then a guy can get serious about "Livin the Dream" (TM) for another year.

Hope lake agassiz doesn't fill up I am close to the edge but would still be under by about 60 feet . It would be deeper yet where those cats are working. But that was back when dino's ruled.
