I see oats are down 18 cents, some traders must have accurate long range wet forecasts.

Was hoping for more upside potential to sell some old crop but decided to sell them on a recent “special”, could have got same price this winter oh well.

Bourgault 5710 double shoot.

We shifted our packers over when we had 5710’s so it wasn’t packing directly on top of the seed.

In these conditions you can definitely over pack,especially canola.Our peas seeded 2 inches in early may just poking tru. Where we spilled on the ground in the yard on gravel they are 3 inches high.

Then why seed them 2" deep?

We had 3/10 last night , started planting today at 1 then at 3 a thunder boomer dropped 6/10. Getting to be a bit much for sure. Drove to Regina and the drills are all going into ideal conditions it appears

I would think possible widespread frost in western Sask Sunday / Monday morning.
Question will be zero or colder , time will tell . Maybe stay above zero but hard NW winds will drive cold air in by Sunday morning

Same boat right at my place anyhow, ground was just getting fit and I started a couple days ago but got thunderstorm yesterday afternoon and it’s mud again. Forecast not looking good.

Don't say "boat", that's doesn't help. Same here east of Edmonton, rain every two days, going to try again tomorrow before rain on Sunday. Unfortunately for once the forecasts are accurate Going to be some unseeded areas.

How do you know in April it was dry?

Nothing last a few days for rain. I'm off to the west side for the funeral. My boys and brother are seeding. Should hit the halfway mark by noon.
