Has anybody ever seeded canola through the deep banders to avoid over-packing in wet soil conditions and running the fertilizer through the openers.

As long as it closes properly. Disc drills in wet soils create a cut side that can become hard and not allow the seed to grow if the weather goes too hot and dry. It cements the one side.

If you have discs for deep sanders.

The idea makes sense since the canola will fill in for sure.

Let’s stick together! It’s a tough game we play.

Hearing that nitrogen is dropping at the retail and diseal is closing is on the $1/L. Still waiting on chemical from FNA, what a dud of a company. Can’t believe I still deal with them.

Spoke to our local dealer and sprayers are still short but ample combines laying around. Bourgault has their 2025 program out and was hoping we’d be interested in flipping ours.. I guess we’ll see what the numbers look like.
Surprised f’na is still around. Their “subsidiary” opened a retail in town. Asked a salesman if you could buy chemical there as it’s a warehouse, but no you still have to order it. What was the point of them opening the location?

I see oats are down 18 cents, some traders must have accurate long range wet forecasts.

Never turned a wheel until May 25 in 2022 so not too worried yet but it’s nice to get done in one shot.
