    A conservative MP said;

    The government-designed questions in the barley vote are misleading because they offer the voluntary CWB as an option in an open market.

    "You either have the boards or you have the open market," he said. "It is confusing to suggest there is a middle ground. It is a false option."

    — Inky Mark
    Conservative MP for Dauphin-Swan River

    Anyone know what the deal is with Inky Mark???
    Why is he supporting the single desk, there must be a very large number of CWB supporters in his riding.

      bgmb,

      Inky is missing this:

      "A belief that the purpose of Canada as a nation state and its government, guided by reflective and prudent leadership, is to create a climate wherein individual initiative is rewarded, excellence is pursued, security and privacy of the individual is provided and prosperity is guaranteed by a free competitive market economy;" http://www.conservative.ca/EN/2692/41593

      Having a choice for grain growers of grain marketing service providers is such a simple idea... Straight from Conservative Principals and Vision.

      Just take the time to read Conservative Principals. It was/is certainly refreshing for me.

      Sadly, the NDP & Now the Liberals have attached themselves to the (Communist) ideals of getting something for nothing by taking someone elses creation without permission. These IDEALS are seductive & EVIL.

      The CWB, as managed today, is ruled by these negative attitudes... and will self destruct unless evil attitudes are brought into submission and replaced with creativity and positive prosperous attitudes.

      Inky knows BETTER, as should CWB Management.

          Stubblejumper;

          Has any thing David, Minister Strahl , or PM Harper done ;other than apply these principals?

          ***A belief that the best guarantors of the prosperity and well-being of the people of Canada are:

          a)The freedom of individual Canadians to pursue their enlightened and legitimate self-interest within a competitive economy;

          b)The freedom of individual Canadians to enjoy the fruits of their labour to the greatest possible extent; and

          c)The right to own property;

          *****A belief that a responsible government must be fiscally prudent and should be limited to those responsibilities which cannot be discharged reasonably by the individual or others;
          "http://www.conservative.ca/EN/2692/41593

          Please tell me , that in combination with the other Founding Principals our Conservative Party of Canada have; how our Ministers have breached our trust?

                The word "Conservative" should never be used in the same line with "principles".

                  Agstar77;

                  And exempting $20b (and climbing)of taxes 70% of which were to be exempted for foreign multi-nationals benefit...

                  THis was the evil move you claim to be irresponsible and respected the Canadian citizens who would have had then to pay a massive increase in taxation?

                  Who did you say you worked for Agstar?

                    Wilagro;

                    Conservatism is a political philosophy that favors traditional values. The term derives from the Latin, conservâre, to conserve; "to keep, guard, observe". Since different cultures have different established values, conservatives in different cultures have different goals. Some conservatives seek to preserve the status quo, while others seek to return to the values of an earlier time, the status quo ante.

                    Samuel Francis defined authentic conservatism as “the survival and enhancement of a particular people and its institutionalized cultural expressions.”[1] Roger Scruton calls it “maintenance of the social ecology” and “the politics of delay, the purpose of which is to maintain in being, for as long as possible, the life and health of a social organism.”[2]
