Friday Crop Report on a Thursday Week 8.

I think some are getting desperate.
Air planes out spraying wet fields with young crop just coming up all around them.
Makes me a little nervous when they are close!

I don’t understand. What are the planes spraying? Are they spraying burnoff on fields that have been seeded just before the crop is coming up?

I saw a plane yesterday. Just assumed that someone is spraying flea beetles. Anyone seeing any?

This one was spraying untouched fields so I assume pre seed burn off. Big farm that have moved in that I don’t know yet.

I had been seriously looking at the seedmaster SR, but with the mud here and clay, I can not see how that rolling steel drum on the front of the seedmaster SR would ever turn in my wet clay.

MRB discs here can’t even keep clean on most of the field.

I sure hope those Devloo rotary sc****rs work for you.

Plant 24 is in the books.Rolling peas and lots of low area where the water pooled for two weeks are bare, otherwise looking good.Start in crop later this week, weeds are coming with a vengeance.Like others the five inches of rain has soaked in for the most part,and a litlle rain would be welcome. Bto neighbour who was first finished a week ago tried seeding sloughs on Sat.,had his oufit buried in five minutes and made a mess getting it out.LOL

Finished our canola plots yesterday and the last quarter of canola today. Off to help a neighbour tomorrow, good luck seeding everyone and be safe.

Went to Melfort Friday and think I probably was past your area. You’ve definitely got some moisture over there. Seeding progress sure a lot farther along than over my way. Lots sitting around half done. Melfort county looked about same as us.
