I estimate it like this if it’s starting to flowering tomorrow the last day of farm show it’s on schedule every day after it’s late. We need heat already. And remember the market knows **** all about crops.

Does NB get disproportional frosts to the rest of the province.

Sk farmer is off on his projections. The crop is more like 3 week late. Canola will be bolting well after July long.

Not really , actually the huge area north of us does get more frosts also an area south of NB and just north of Biggar . Also actually Rosetown can get very cool as well

NW is the most challenging part of province to grow a crop….nobody can change my mind on that.

Locally , our little pocket is on the higher side of frost risks . But most NW Sask has those pockets just some more widespread than others

Canola is now showing signs of frost damage from the last cold event browning of leaf it will grow through but another delay!

Furrow I have lots of similar looking canola. Will it recover in your opinion?

Once you get new green leaf showing I would consider 2-3 litres of Alpine G 22 to drive plant growth again
there are other products but all much more expensive.
G22 simply works Everytime and is cost effective in those situations

we were adding G22 to everything late last week with herbicide seeing these cold temps coming
Also added to the RR canola first pass yesterday to reduce crop stress .

Check your fields for frost nothing you can do but check at plus two it did cause some plants to not look good.

And to add something different SCIC adjuster told me yesterday that about 2000 ac of canola in the Bethune area has been reseeded due to gophers.
