back to wilagro:

Well, you DIDN’T know that the questions were NOT asked in a rhetorical fashion. They were meant to challenge you to come up with some logical explanation. Rhetorical questions are those asked when you know the answer. I don’t think Fransisco “knew” what your answer would be but I’m gonna guess that he figured you wouldn’t have a good answer.

And he was right.

So it IS a big deal.

We “anti’s” are not asking you “pro’s” for answers. The questions are to challenge the logic of the single-desk-supporter and to test your ability to think through the concepts – for all of us to benefit. I keep thinking that a CWB-supporter here on Agriville will be able to shine some needed light on why the CWB gets so much support. So far, it’s still pretty dark in this room.

I sure wish I had a constant supply of hog manure to spread on our fields.

If I am not mistaken, the fertilizer costs seem a little higher than they were last year. Hog farmers have a big advantage. Perhaps someone is a little jealous.

Good posting Francisco, don't get your hopes up of having a dignified debate.

No worries Silverback, some folks just can't handle the facts.

Like the Vet's say, you know you're over the target when you're getting flak.

Good post Francisco!! I love it when a person gets the CWB supporters in a corner, that they have no reply to such a good post.

Benny, "are you getting rich growing oats at $1.6-$2.00 / bu most years?"

Benny I'n not sure where you farm, but in my area I'll take $1.80 oats, and crush the profit on my 45bu/ac $4.50 Wheat crop any year!!!

Thanks for the support guys.

Here's another factoid for Benny to chew on while he's polishing off another bowl of cheerios.

The number of acres of oat's grown in Manitoba has tripled since Charlie Mayer took it out from under the single desk.

So tell us all again Benny about how farmers think its such a terrible thing to try and make money growing oat's.

Let me guess all those acres aren't real either.

Wasn't Charlie Mayer one of Mulroney's goons?

Didn't the Liberals have to UNDO some of his decisions regarding barley marketing?

My memory is not as good as it used to be.

Wilagro,

Wasn't it Ralph Goodale that started the CWB on the track to pad grain co's pockets... and take the opportunity away from "designated area" grain growers...

Because some growers they figured out how to get more for fusarium infected wheat in the U.S.(that the CWB said to burn) than the CWB was offering for good wheat through normal markets?

THis is your kind of justice and value you claim to "help" your neighbour?

If you were going to build a pasta plant, and you had to pay the CWB a price that included all the transportation to a foreign market, why not just build it in that foreign market if other costs were cheaper there? The system insures that expensive transportation costs are permanently deducted from any price we receive?

= no new pasta plant in Saskatchewan.

Farmers have examined their cash.

We have achieved financially dismality because the status quos supporters:

1. Admit nothing
2. Deny everything
3. Look for a scapegoat.

This type of farmer/director/advisor is of no value to the farmer needing more cash out of agriculture.

We cannot afford more of the same.

Gee and I thought Parsley had found a scapegoat for all the woes of farmers. I can't believe there are no other more pressing concerns than the CWB.
