Ill be impressed if canola pushes 35 this yr with this heat and late seeding dates. Theyre out to lunch.
ProbabLy time to start growing some cacti/ canola intercrop. Maybe itll cross polinate and we will have something.

Half the canola here is podded and knee high.

Just found a section that had heavy rain and some hail about a week ago. Lots of flooded and sick water-logged shit. I will call it already 2024 isn't what 2023crop was. Lots of issues for us. Oh well it was a good run.

Lodging from wind and rain events last week

IMHO more may be lost to lodging overall that the flooding.

Wheat lodging here with no heads emerged. No weight in the heads.

Might not be a big deal if it gets hot and dry but if a thunderstorm goes by in the next month lots will be down.
