That would be a real kick if it starts raining just as lentils are ready. This year we could see some high-price lentils. There were a lot contracted and this dry heat took away at least 50% of the yield. There will be a lot of sellers short product.

Spent the evening moving the garden hose from tree to tree in my yard. 1st time I've ever had to, but they look terrible, even though it's too late for the crop I'll take a rain. The Durum is about 25% moisture, heard some guys have begun preharvest herb on cereals but why bother even the lowspots have now completely turned and its Aug 1. Lentils and Durum are going to come im around the same time, canola not far behind. Tomorrows forecast 37c that should finish everything off.Last edited by biglentil; Aug 1, 2024, 07:21.
