Not fun. I hate mud. Storms bypassed us yesterday thankfully. Long way to go yet though.

Is that magnitude of recovery common for soybeans?

Every year we see pictures of soybeans early in the season from somewhere in the world looking awful. Then at the end of the season, the disaster is inevitably averted.

There seems to be a lot of truth to the wisdom that soybeans are made in August ( or the equivalent in the southern hemisphere or double crop).

I only wish the crops we grow could make a recovery like that after being drowned out.

We have had a lot of rain early and beans took it the best. Rains in July and August are the most beneficial since beans are not deep rooted.

40mm to 100mm that I know of.

Never heard of hail near here but this is considered a low chance area.

There was quite a lightning/ thunder display last night. The system seemed to head north of Regina and off toward Manitoba. There was a 1/2 inch at Neudorf, I am told but 2/10 just east of Regina.
