Sure is lots of land for sale ,most in the 3000/ac. range.Cant see how that pays with these interest rates, good for the seller tho.

The activity hit us at 5:30, hard rain thunder like July...1". Most half done starting canola. Ours was 8% MT yesterday, 70% of last year yield, price down 20%. No rent land involved. Wished to have none, and it happened.

More T storm warnings this morning. Wet Thursday...

          Head gasket?

Been down that road... somewhat unsure of how cummins does it, but on my cat when you clamped down the spacer plate and measure the liner protrusion, it would "pass" on the maximum allowable tolerance, but the liners were "rocking" in the block and would chew a head gasket every year. Counter bored the block and shimmed to the highest allowable protrusion.

Still haven't dried out enough to go... Been busy rebuilding the PTO on a 1688 anyway. A $70 hyd hose caused a $22K failure. "Livin the Dream".

Seems that the moisture is going to go east of here as well. There's some heavy shit rolling around south and west of here at the moment. Still have durum to go that neighbor said was testing 18.5 yesterday. Little drying here with this moisture in the vicinity. 65deg, and 75% humidity means an equilibrium moisture content of 15.4%. I doubt there'll be any harvest today aside from those that have driers.

Got one like that as well, went to inspect and studs are sheared off. Just hit the break even mark everything else is profit. 15 mins left and combining 2024 is a wrap.

Started out thinking it was a head gasket but after pulling the head we found wear in where the fuel injectors sit so ended up with a new head and fuel injectors hopefully back together by the weekend. Still catching up on other repairs as well. 3/10” early this morning with rain forecasted for tomorrow as well, should catch up eventually.

Pulled 0.35" here as well this afternoon... right back to 23% moisture. Perhaps by Saturday we'll be able to get something done here again. Painful!
