Reading the latest mags from the grower orgs I see no mention of this.
Our orgs seem to have no govt advocacy mandate. Mostly agronomy and marketing.
How long before we modernize our industry and have an exclusive govt liaison organization??
Ya I know, still a wacko.
Gawd forbid we have strong, seperate orgs.
Think NAWG and USWheat and others.
Can someone who knows explain this as I don't leave the farm much.
What am I missing? Anyone?

One Ottawa farm lobbyist org is Grain growers of Canada, many of the commodity groups pay into them. https://graingrowers.ca/
Canada grains council https://canadagrainscouncil.ca is another
You are correct though, in my understanding the commodity groups from the west don't each themselves have a lobbyist down east. The national groups Cereals Canada, Canola council of Canada and Pulse Canada are more industry advocacy, market access, promotion etc

Thanks James I forgot about those.
I realize my rants are not original.
I also realize govt work is behind the scenes and measured in decades.
I see some relevant issues on their sites. Not C-293 though.
Maybe these two groups are too much behind the scene.
Wasn't one of them behind the Code of Practice fiasco?

The world economic forum and a few other billionaires aren’t on the side of the people that make this world go round, I’m not sure how we stop this crazy crap but I’m not eating bugs, the Dutch eating the politicians slowed this horse shit down, it only took four hundred years to start up again.

Please call your representative on Ag—-groups, your MLA, and MPS, including the NDP MPS and the Premier.

The AG and SK Premier believe the province will enact the not-withstanding clause, but what if we are an NDP province? We know the NDP agrees with this authoritarian dictatorship!

These bills need more public awareness, and Bills C 63 and C 203 must be defeated.

Where are our ag groups on this?
Where are our national ag Boards on this?

As stakeholders, we rely on our national ag Boards to protect our industry. It's time for them to step up and fulfill their responsibility.

Cannot believe that dairy and poultry groups are not all over this! Was told the contamination zone for bird flu control could be ten miles! Imagine that in Quebec!
