We had 345 and 340. Some pod drop from the 340 and lower yield. Had a pioneer variety in that was supposed to be shatter something and it ended up on the ground when the pods were still green. Immature seeds, loss was quite high. 345 would be choice for next season, will be pissed if not available. Did not look at any others.

Our 350 was worst in pod drop, followed by 356 and 345 being best. 356 was best yielding. We did have some Pioneer P520L side by side with L356 . The pioneer variety for sure had more shelling/ pod drop but yielded every bit as well. L340 was the poorest on our farm. My big beef is BASF's programming that makes it difficult to consider generic herbicides because you need X liter's of Liberty per acre to trigger bigger rebate. For years we bought extra totes of cheaper generic Glufosinate to have on hand because of shortage where BASF couldn't supply Liberty. Liberty price is supposed to be going down for next year? I guess we will see.

Closing in on last of my super late seeded durum.
Yield is as good or better than earlier seeded, and wasnt cured when the last 2+" rain event occurred. Weird to be combining thoroughly rinsed cereals that look as good as the stuff we took off at the beginning of harvest.
Small victories.
Price is coming up slowly... elevators appear to be passing each $5/Mt increase nearly 100% to the farmer.

What was the maturity like on the pioneer P520L? I had some in also and it was very late compared to L340 and L356. Pod shatter and drop was actually pretty good on the P520L.
