Yes June ruts are a real time consumer. Spent a couple days following sprayer ruts with a disc.

This outfit has some farmland for sale near me.
They bought it about 10 yrs ago and rented it back to the family.
The original owner hadn't owned it long but probably cashed 2x equity gain.
This turn is also about 2x purchase price plus rental income.
They are in some other real estate and storage assets.
Have only been in farmland since about 2016 when the bought the property near me.Last edited by shtferbrains; Oct 17, 2024, 14:32.

Don’t head south too quickly, should be lots of time for dozer work and post some pic’s of the beast at work.
Can’t wait to get back on mine!
Those dozers are the ultimate boy toy.

SF.. I’m like you, I make it a point to not farm any investor company land. They drive land costs up and do nothing for the community. They can farm it themselves.
I have no problem with son/daughter from Toronto wanting to keep their family land or some Albertan/European family moving into the area and wanting to be apart of the community. But I have a hard time supporting these 100 million dollar investment clubs who are trying to outbid me on the next land parcel deal.
