Call from my local Cargill rep today. Asking what my marketing plans were on canola. So local Cargill elevator price is $13.82 December. Canola crush plant price is $13.88 at my bin. My local hauler charges 25 cents a bushel to get it to Cargill. So Power Canola to crush plant a 31 cent premium today. To qualify for the program the canola must be grown on land not designated a protected area, forested or wooded, native or bio diverse grassland, on and on. Environment and climate change Canada recognizes all Canadian crop land to have met this criteria but you still must give Cargill your land locations where it was grown to qualify.
My question is simple, would you be willing to give Cargill your land locations to qualify for this program?
My answer was no, interested in everybody else’s!!
