Shelves are permanent FLOATING ice sheets that are attached to land and are constantly fed by glaciers.

Try this experiment at home. Pour yourself a drink of water, put ice in it, don’t drink any until all the ice melts. Record how much the water level rises. Multiply that amount by 10 billion and you still won’t raise the water level of the glass.

Unless the giant turtle is holding up the ice to prevent DISPLACEMENT, that ice melting won’t raise the oceans level at all.
