We've had a huge snowfall in EC Alberta today. It looks like an foot of not so fluffy white stuff since early this morning. Can't say I've seen anything like it my 70 or so years. In this part of the world we don't get a lot of moisture of any sort and what we get usually comes in sideways. There was some wind but not the blizzard type. Moisture is very welcome but the highways will be bad for a bit and our fall grazing has come to an abrupt halt.

about 6 inches here in my area. Pretty fluffy stuff and wind from the east when it came , but thankfully not a 50 mph wind. A few days of above freezing would put a crust on it and it would stay in place but that's asking for too much in my country! Leaving some narrow check strips on my hayfields caught some snow for a change!

The wild life will have a very hard winter. all the stubble is full and the snow in the bush is deep. foraging will be very difficult and running from predators difficult. staying warm in The cold will also burn up a lot of energy. i'll crack open a couple bins now and then hopefully it helps...prices shit anyways
